  • The Environment Portal provides access to online environmental services and information. The information is organised by seven broad environmental themes - Atmosphere, Biodiversity, Coasts and Oceans, Environment Protection, Heritage, Inland Waters, and Land. It is a good place to start searching for information on these topics.

  • Landcare is a community-based approach to fixing environmental problems and protecting the future of our natural resources.

  • Community Access to Natural Resources Information (CANRI) brings together key environmental information from NSW Government agencies and other organisations.

  • Manaaki Whenua- Landcare Research is New Zealand's foremost environmental research organisation. Their site provides more innovative concepts per page than any other we have found.

  • Geoscience Australia is responsible for producing and providing spatial information to the Australian community. They can tell you that it is 218.9km, as the cocky flies, from Juno Point at the mouth of the Hawkesbury to the Lake Bathurst trig station on the boundary of the Hawkesbury-Nepean Catchment. Plus a lot of more useful things.
